It is that time of year when weather can be unpredictable in northeast Texas. Below is a reminder about 91成人导航's procedure in case of bad weather:
91成人导航鈥檚 decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes. If the campuses are closed or classes cancelled, the official notice will be sent out via the campus Eagle Alert system (text, email, phone) and a message will be posted on the 91成人导航 homepage (). Messages will also be posted to the official 91成人导航 Facebook page (), and on Twitter (@ntcceagles).
The 91成人导航 Foundation is happy to announce that nine 91成人导航 employees have been awarded funds through the 2020-2021 Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant. The Foundation received 15 outstanding applications. Six were funded by the grant and three received private donations. The total for all funded projects was $11,500. The Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant was established by James & Elizabeth Whatley specifically to fund special projects and enhance educational opportunities that fall outside the institution鈥檚 regular budget. Each year, 91成人导航 full-time employees may apply for the approximately $8,500 available. Projects are reviewed and selected by the volunteer members of the Whatley Employee Enhancement Committee.
The 91成人导航 Foundation has more than 300 scholarships available for the 2021-2022 academic year. The scholarships are not directly tied to FAFSA eligibility, so you may receive a scholarship even if you don鈥檛 qualify for PELL grants. What鈥檚 the catch? You have to apply!.
Sophomore Honors Scholar, Gem Elmore, recently became the third 91成人导航 student in history to give an invited address to the annual meeting of the Texas State Historical Association (TSHA). Professorial judges of the TSHA鈥檚 collegiate auxiliary, The Walter Webb Society, selected Elmore鈥檚 work to represent the best of essays in 2020 in the state among freshman and sophomore college/university students. Elmore鈥檚 essay is on the 鈥淚ntegration of Northeast Texas Churches.鈥
91成人导航 is accepting applications for Day and Evening EMT Basic classes. Go to to fill out the online application. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a clinical component added.
The latest issue of The Eagle is now ! Be sure to check it out. This edition includes a great story on the Guardians of the Children biker organization. Jalyn English, a Presidential Scholar in Honors Northeast, was recently named Outstanding Music Appreciation Honors Student by the 91成人导航 Division of Creative and Performing Arts.
The Adult Education Department at 91成人导航 is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration.
