The Student Government Association will be hosting the Spring Jamfest Talent Show on Thursday, April 2, 2020. The Spring Jamfest is open to college students and the general public. Come out to 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ for the 2020 Spring Jamfest to show your support, join the fun, or just for the excitement!
Springfest Week is a great opportunity for students to confirm and celebrate their decision to attend 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. The week also provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy conversations that will lead to relationship building outside of the classroom. 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½â€™s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Mu Chi, recently attended the Texas Regional Convention in Abilene and returned with 20 awards. The chapter successfully campaigned for the Texas Region District III President position. This is an unprecedented feat for the chapter and college that will allow an elected representative to take part in leadership training, public speaking opportunities, and travel throughout the state.
Members of the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Business Club recently presented a check for $500 to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation. The donation will provide a business student with a scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year. This is the second year the Business Club has given a scholarship.
91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ will host a suicide prevention training and awareness walk on Saturday, April 18 on the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ campus. The day will begin with a professional development training at 5 p.m. and a 5k awareness walk will take place at 7:30 p.m.
Texas A&M University-Texarkana will waive admissions fees for 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ students who apply for transfer from March 1 through April 1. Stop by the A&M-Texarkana office in UHS 113 or contact Jennifer Perez at jennifer.perez@tamut.edu or 903-434-8357 for more information.
91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ will be closed March 16-20 for spring break. Online registration continues in the l for 2nd 8-week classes, which are scheduled to begin on Monday, March 23.
The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Business Club will host their second annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. on the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ campus. The event is free and all children ages 0-12 are invited to participate.
