Woodmen of the World endow 91成人导航 scholarship in memory of Beau Brummell

The Woodmen of the World organization recently presented a check for $25,000 to the 91成人导航 Foundation.鈥 These funds will be used to establish The Beau Brummell Woodmen of the World Endowed Scholarship, which will provide an annual scholarship for a local student attending 91成人导航 each year. The Beau Brummell Woodmen of the World Scholarship is in memory of Brummell, a very dedicated and longtime member of the Camp County Chapter of Woodmen of the World. Dr.

Honors Northeast accepting entries for poster contest

The ninth annual McGraw-Hill Poster Contest is set for Friday, April 28 at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91成人导航. This contest recognizes and rewards creative student scholarship in Northeast Texas. Area high school seniors, college and university students are welcome to compete. Prizes range from $100 for fourth place to $400 for first place. Up to 20 community judges will determine a project?s contribution to scholarship, its persuasiveness and the quality of the poster?s overall appearance.

Honors Northeast publishes record number of essays in state historical journal

The 2017 issue of Touchstone, the collegiate journal of the Texas State Historical Association released this spring, contains a record three essays by current 91成人导航 Presidential Scholars. The 91成人导航 Art Department will present its Annual Student Art Show April 12-27 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A reception will be held Wednesday, April 19 at 2 p.m. in the Whatley Foyer. The show will feature student work in a variety of media including painting, drawing, photography, ceramics and more. Shaw named Guistwhite Scholar

Emma Shaw, a sophomore at 91成人导航 from Omaha, has been selected as one of only 15 students nationwide to be named a 2017 Phi Theta Kappa Guistwhite Scholar. The honor includes a $5,000 scholarship to be used toward baccalaureate studies and a commemorative medallion. Shaw will be honored with the other recipients on the main stage at Phi Theta Kappa?s national convention in Nashville this April

Guistwhite Scholars are chosen based on academic achievement, leadership accomplishments and engagement in Phi Theta Kappa Programs.

Mendoza named a 2017 Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Silver Scholar

Ryan-Rose Mendoza, a sophomore at 91成人导航, has been named a 2017 Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Silver Scholar. The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver and 50 Bronze Scholars, and providing nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Each Silver Scholar receives a $1,250 scholarship and a special medallion.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society administers the Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Program.

Whatley Center to host Mount Vernon Music April 10

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91成人导航 will host a concert by Mount Vernon Music Monday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Whatley foyer.鈥 The string quintet performance will feature Mark Miller and Yuko Mansell on violin, Ute Miller and Sarah Kienle on viola and Zachary Mansell on cello.

Program selections will include Quintet in C major K. 515 by Mozart and Quintet in G major op.
