Tonya Taylor gives nursing scholarships
Tonya Taylor,†Assistant Professor of Nursing at†91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, recently gave $1,200 to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation to provide two scholarships for nursing students. The gift was given in memory of Margie Bragg, an 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Nursing graduate from Mount Pleasant who worked in the field for many years. Jackie Baker gives $10,000 scholarship
Jackie Baker of Mount Pleasant recently gave $10,000 †to 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ in order to create an endowed scholarship for the Eagles baseball program. The donation is in memory of her late husband, Bob Baker, who was a long-time 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ board member and was very influential in starting the Eagles baseball program. Guaranty Bank sponsors 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Work Scholarship student
Robin Sharp recently gave $1,000 on behalf of Guaranty Bank to sponsor a student in the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ pilot Work Scholarship Program this summer. Pat and David Sistrunk of Tyler recently gave $2,000 to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation. The gift will sponsor two students in the college?s new Work Scholarship Program. The program allows students the opportunity to volunteer to work at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ doing meaningful work (preferably in a field related to their major) and earning credit (in the form of a scholarship) towards their future college expenses. The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently donated $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ majoring in an allied health field. Texas Pioneer Foundation gives $200,000 to three-college consortium project
Representatives from Kilgore College, 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ (91³ÉÈ˵¼º½) and Texarkana College recently gathered on the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ campus in Mount Pleasant to receive a $200,000 grant from the Texas Pioneer Foundation. The three colleges were awarded the money to†support the†creation of a†consortium†to promote student†success and†college efficiency.
The consortium was organized as an innovative way to upgrade to a new student information system as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

Lions Club of Pittsburg donates scholarship
The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation recently received an $1,800 gift from the Lions Club of Pittsburg. The donation will provide three $600 scholarships to 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ students from Camp County. Fine Arts Club of Mount Pleasant gives scholarship
The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation recently received a $500 gift to benefit a student majoring in fine arts.
