Priority scholarship deadline set for March 31



Need help paying for college? The priority deadline to apply for a 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation scholarship for the Fall 2014 semester is Monday, March 31 at 5 p.m. Applications can be picked up with Lori Hunter in the Administration Building or a copy can be downloaded at (choose Scholarship Information button in left menu).




91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation scholarships come from a variety of sources including individuals, families, businesses and civic clubs.

Gene and Beverly Hinson give scholarships to 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½

Mr. Gene Hinson (left) and Mrs. Beverly Hinson (right) are pictured giving donations to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Vice President for Advancement at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½.††Mr. Hinson gave a $500 check to establish the new Hinson Ranch Scholarship and Mrs. Hinson contributed $300 to the Richard E. & Joan Eckman Memorial Scholarship for students in the Industrial Technology Training Center. Jerry and Susan Massey give $1,300 to Whatley Campaign

Jerry and Susan Massey, formerly of Pittsburg, are pictured presenting a $1,300 check to Dr. Jonathan McCullough (left), Vice President for Advancement at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½.† The funds are designated for the Campaign for the Whatley and will be matched dollar for dollar with a newly-announced matching grant for the Campaign.† The $1,300 year-end gift of the Massey?s will result in $2,600 toward the Campaign.† For more information on this, or if you are interested in making a matching gift to the Campaign for the Whatley, please contact Dr. McCullough at 903-434-8115.

Dr. Brad Johnson (right), President of 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Vice President for Advancement, are pictured holding a $25,000 check the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation recently received from the Carroll Shelby Foundation.† The money will provide scholarships for students in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. Mr. Shelby was a strong supporter of the automotive technology program at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ and, through carefully planned estate giving, he continues to help both the college, and more importantly, †the citizens of our community.

Charlie and Helen Hampton give scholarship

Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Helen Hampton (right) recently gave $500 to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation. Their gift will provide a scholarship to a Morris County student attending 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery give $1,300 to support 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ honors projects

Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery (pictured left) recently gave a $1,300 gift to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation. The funds will be used for the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Whatley Employee Enhancement Fund, specifically for the Honors program to help with their production of a film based on the life of Harriet Potter Ames, the Feminist Legend of the American Revolution, and with the Presidential Scholars Program for their research and documentation of the Caddo Collection owned by 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½.
