The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce a special performance by the RokDox, an electrifying classic rock horn band, on Saturday, January 25th, at 7:30 p.m. Audiences can expect a high-energy show filled with iconic hits and unforgettable performances by this talented group of musicians. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.
The Work4College Application is officially OPEN for the Summer of 2025! The Work4College Program is a great way to attend 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ without acquiring debt and experience hands-on learning by working in a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at . The deadline to apply is April 11, 2025.
In the Work4College Program, students may work in a variety of roles, including:
• Assisting on the college farm Painting classrooms and dorm rooms
91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ will soon begin the search for its sixth president. Board Chairman Chuck Johns announced at the December meeting of the Board of Trustees that the search will be conducted in-house by the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Human Resources department. The role will be posted, and applications accepted beginning January 6, 2025.
The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation recently received a check for $2,000 from Dr. Michael Minadeo. The funds will be used to provide scholarships to students pursuing their degree in nursing at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. The endowed Minadeo Nursing Scholarship has helped support nursing students for many years and will continue to do so into the future. The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Board of Trustees met for its regular December meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 17th. All seven trustees were present. The first order of business was the Presentation of Independent Audit by the firm of Axley & Rode.

91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ will be closed for the
Amir Sultan, an 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Dual Credit student from Ore City High School, was recently named a recipient of the prestigious . According to his Ore City Dual Credit Liaison, Amanda Ainsworth, the scholarship will allow Sultan to attend University of Pennsylvania (or UPenn - an Ivy League university) at no cost to him. The scholarship even covers his travel expenses!
91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ celebrated its December 2024 commencement on Friday, Dec. 13th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. A total of 116 students graduated with 81 associate degrees and 82 certificates of competency awarded.
Carla Sotelo gave the student welcome in both English and Spanish. Liliana Torreblanca (pictured below), who graduated from the Agriculture program, delivered the student response.
