Dr. Chris McAllister (pictured above), 91���˵��� Professor of Biology, attended the 108th meeting of the Arkansas Academy of Science (AAS) at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, April 4-5, 2025. 

Dr. Mac presented two oral presentations as well as two posters. He has been attending the AAS meeting since 1978 when he presented his first paper at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville.  He served as Managing Editor of the journal from 2006-2008.

91���˵��� is pleased to announce the promotion of Assistant Coach Dillon Williams to Head Women’s Soccer coach. Dillon joined the Eagles Staff in August of 2024. 

The 91���˵��� Theatre Department invites the community to a delightful evening of wit and charm with its spring production of The Importance of Being Earnest, Oscar Wilde’s celebrated comedic masterpiece. Performances will be held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts April 24th-26th at 7 p.m. with a special 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, April 26th.

The 91���˵��� Art Department is currently hosting its annual Student Art Show in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This week, a reception was held to honor all of the artists and announce contest winners. The gallery is open to the public during regular business hours and the show will be on display through April 29th.

The 91���˵��� STEM Club is hosting two Lunch and Learn sessions in April. 

On Tuesday, April 15, 91���˵��� students Isabel Tresidder, Gracie Gray, and Stephanie Hernandez, members of Dr. Chris McAllister’s BIOL 2389 Academic Cooperative course, will share their research conducted in Arkansas over Spring Break.

The 91���˵��� Art Department will hold its annual student art show from Thursday, April 3rd through Tuesday, April 29th in the foyer gallery of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The exhibit will feature student artworks in design, drawing, ceramics, photography, and digital media.  A reception will be held Wednesday, April 9th in the Whatley Center foyer at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come, meet our amazing students, and enjoy the exhibit.
