Alpha Mu Chi recognized at international convention
PTK Catalyst, Phi Theta Kappa’s international convention, was turned into a live virtual streaming event this year. Alpha Mu Chi, 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½â€™s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, was among those recognized at the international level. Awards were given out to recognize the hard work of 1,285 chapters in the United States and ten other nations.
Jacob Lambie named International Vice-President for Phi Theta Kappa
Jacob Lambie successfully campaigned for and won the position of International Vice-President for Division II for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Lambie will be the first student from 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ to hold that highly respected position. Division II includes 326 chapters in 7 Regional Organizations, comprising Alabama, Florida, British Virgin Islands, Peru, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas.

Just because the spring talent show was cancelled due to COVID-19 doesn't mean you can't still show off your skills and even win some $$$! 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ is moving its annual talent show online. WiFi hotspots available in 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ parking lot
We realize going to an all online format for classes can be a struggle for some of you. Especially if you do not have good internet access.
If you are struggling with internet issues maybe we can help. 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ has set up WIFI hotspots in the campus parking lot. You are welcome to come to the campus and sit in your cars in the parking lot and use the WIFI anytime throughout the week (until 10pm). See above for areas where you will get the best WiFi connection (yellow highlighted area behind SUB and yellow highlighted area in West Housing parking lot).
Jim and Paula Archer support 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ for East Texas Giving Day
Doctors Jim and Paula Archer (right) recently presented Nita May (left), 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Director of Development, with a check for $2,000 for East Texas Giving Day (ETGD). The amount will be matched at 50% by the IBM employer giving program to bring their total contribution to $3,000. Additional matching opportunities through ETGD and grants will bring the total impact of the donation to $6,000. The Archer’s gift will support 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Honors, the Jim and Paula Archer Science Scholarship and the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
