Campus construction has been making steady progress over the past few weeks. Below are some things to watch for as we move into the first week of February:

? The lane of traffic closest to Humanities should be reopened to through traffic next week

? The sidewalk between UHS and Math/Science will be closed next week and noise may be a concern in classrooms near those areas

Medical Assistant program accepting applications for Fall 2016

The†91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Medical Assistant program will begin accepting applications for the Fall 2016 semester February 1. If you have visited a doctor?s office in the area recently, there is a good chance you have been cared for by an 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Medical Assistant graduate. These professionals greet patients as they arrive for appointments, process insurance, schedule appointments, answer calls, draw blood, give shots and assist your physician with all aspects of care.

Northeast Texas Biker's Church gives to Arellano scholarship fund

The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation recently received a donation of $2,000 from the Northeast Texas Biker?s Church.†These funds will provide two $1,000 scholarships for criminal justice or police academy students attending 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ this fall.†Pictured at the check presentation is: (from left) James Aydelott, Roger Keck, Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Vice President for Advancement, Jeff Martin, Janet Reeves, scholarship recipient, and Dominic Crescimanno.

Mt. Pleasant Fine Arts Club gives scholarship

The Mount Pleasant Fine Arts Club recently gave $500 to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation. The funds will be used to provide a scholarship for an 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ student majoring in the fine arts. The group has been contributing to scholarships since 1985 when the college first opened.
