Frankie Avalon to perform at Whatley Center

Summer may be over, but you'll find yourself wanting to plan a trip to the beach after hearing Frankie Avalon in concert at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. The legendary film and music star will perform Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m.†

Shane Pitts named September Fittest Employee

Shane Pitts (pictured kayaking with his family) was presented†with a gift basket†for being named 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½?s Fittest Employee†of the Month†for September.†To receive this award, an employee must†be caught practicing†overt wellness behavior and attitude.†

Progressive Women's Organization gives $1,000 for 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ scholarships

The Progressive Women's Organization of Mount Pleasant recently presented $1,000 to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation to provide two scholarships for students majoring in education. The donation was given in memory of Verner Cornelius, a longtime local educator. Tonya Taylor gives memorial nursing scholarships

Tonya Taylor, Assistant Professor of Nursing at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, recently gave $1,200 to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation to provide two scholarships for nursing students. The gift was given in memory of Margie Bragg, an 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Nursing graduate from Mount Pleasant who worked in the field for many years. Taylor noted that she hopes the scholarships will help carry on the caring spirit Bragg gave every day. Taylor is pictured above with Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Vice President for Advancement.
