Fast track GED flier

The 91成人导航 Adult Education Department is offering free Fast Track GED classes this summer at the Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg. Classes will be held July 9 through 30 with both morning and evening options. Register now through July 3 by calling 903-434-8341. 

Trip to boston

This summer students and faculty had the opportunity to visit one of America鈥檚 oldest and most historic cities as part of the 91成人导航 travel study course. 91成人导航 toured historical sites and did some sightseeing all while earning college credit toward history, government, English and art courses.

91成人导航 Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) students recently conducted their neurodevelopmental lab and were privileged to work with actual babies of various ages.

Graduation

91成人导航 held its May 2019 commencement on Saturday, May 18. A total of 353 students received degrees and certificates during two separate graduation ceremonies.

Memorial Day

91成人导航 will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.

business club scholarship

The 91成人导航 Business Club recently presented the 91成人导航 Foundation with a check for $500. The money will provide a scholarship to a 91成人导航 business major who has a 3.5 grade-point average or higher. 

Fine Arts Club

The Fine Arts Club of Mount Pleasant recently presented the 91成人导航 Foundation with two donation checks.

Bonnie Spencer winners

Two 91成人导航 sophomores were the recipients of this year鈥檚 Bonnie Spencer awards.  Jordan Whelchel, a Presidential Scholar writing in the required non-honors class, won $100 and first place for his original work on 鈥淐apitalist Chemistry.鈥  Laura Ross鈥檚 second-place essay, winning $50, concerned the persecution of Russian immigrants during the era of World War I.

Gladys winkle winner head shots

Two 91成人导航 Presidential Scholars are the recent recipients of $1,250 Gladys Winkle Scholarships. Israel Perez and John Rodriguez, of Mount Pleasant, are the third and fourth recipients of this coveted award in honors.  The previous winners were Texas Heritage National Bank Scholar, Mercedes Collins, and Leader of Promise recipient, Courtney Baldwin.  The scholarship goes to humanities majors in honors who have a proven record of attainment in a humanities field.  It will be applied to their costs this 2021 spring semester.
