Mad City financial literacy event planned for March 30

Stressed about the future of your personal finances? You won’t want to miss the Mad City Reality Fair Simulation event scheduled for March 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union Building. 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Student Services and Financial Literacy will host this (free) exciting, interactive exercise to help students learn more about managing their personal finances. Free pizza will be served and gift card prizes will be given away!

Computers for Senior Adults class scheduled

The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Continuing Education department will host a Computers for Senior Adults class April 6-27. It will be held Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. on the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ main campus.

The class will cover software, formatting, saving documents, file storage, e-mail and more. Karen Andrews is the instructor. The cost is $59 and the course is recommended for adults age 55+. To register, please call 903-434-8134 or e-mail continuinged@ntcc.edu. Pre-registration is required.

Springfest Week planned for April 5-9

Student Activities and Multicultural Affairs will host Springfest Week April 5-9. This weeklong event is a great opportunity for students to confirm and celebrate their decision to attend 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. The week also provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy conversations that will lead to relationship building outside of the classroom. A&M-Texarkana, CIS team up for personal care item drive

A&M-Texarkana at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ and Communities In Schools (CIS) are teaming up for a "Fresh and Clean for Spring" drive. They are seeking donations of personal care items to be distributed through the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Eagle Pantry and to area school children served by CIS. 

Personal care items like soap, deodorant, oral hygiene products, etc. are much appreciated. Donations can be dropped off in UHS 113 through May 1. Contact Kelly or Shannon at 903-434-8357 with any questions you may have.

Softball opens conference play

91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Softball traveled to Paris Junior College on Wednesday to open the 2021 Conference season. Paris would get the upper hand defeating 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ 6-1 in game one and made a comeback effort to take down the Eagles 15-14 in game two.

Averie Ayers (Mount Pleasant HS) would get the start in the circle in game one. She would pitch five innings, allowing just 3 hits and striking out 6.
