Lauren Fennimore earns scholarship to present research at psychology conference
Lauren Fennimore of Mount Pleasant, a 91成人导航 Psi Beta member, applied and received a scholarship to attend and present her research at the 26th Annual Association for Psychological Science (APS) Conference in San Francisco May 22-May 25.
This honor was awarded by the National Psi Beta Honor Society in partnership with APS.鈥犫燜ennimore competed with other Psi Beta students and only eight scholarships were awarded nationally.鈥犫燭he research conducted by the Psi Beta members was only a portion of the consideration for awarding the schol
PTA program graduates earn 100% pass rate on licensure exam
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program at Northeast Texas Community鈥燙ollege recently learned that its graduating class of鈥2013鈥爃ad a 100% pass rate on the鈥爁irst attempt for its state licensure exams. According to program director Dr. Nancy Wilson, this is the sixth鈥爕ear in a row that the program has had all鈥爏tudents pass on the first try.

Two 91成人导航 Honors students win Caldwell essay awards
91成人导航 Honors students, Elyse Coleman of Gilmer and Kayleah Cumpian of Mount Pleasant, swept two of the four 2014 Caldwell essay awards given annually by the Webb division of the Texas State Historical Association (for freshmen and sophomores in the colleges and universities of Texas).

Larry Gatlin to perform at the Whatley April 5
In 2008, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers performed on the 91成人导航 campus before a packed house at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Gatlin will return for an encore with an intimate, solo acoustic performance on April 5 at 7:30 p.m.
This unplugged concert will feature Gatlin telling stories about his life through multimedia presentations and songs from his childhood.

Baseball sweeps Navarro
The 91成人导航 Eagles (91成人导航) baseball team dominated the Navarro College Bulldogs鈥燽y sweeping鈥燿uring their three-game series this weekend.
Thursday?s game started off with Austin Griffin hitting a homerun early and followed by Casey Dickerman getting on and working his way around the bases to score in the third. The Bulldogs put up two runs in the fifth and the eighth before Connor Drake scored the what proved to be the winning run for the Eagles in the ninth.
Softball drops two games to Navarro
The 91成人导航 Lady Eagles (91成人导航) softball team dropped their doubleheader against Navarro College Wednesday.
鈥 鈥 鈥 鈥燚arby Davis scored the Lady Eagles lone run of the game when she was driven home by Breagan White in the third inning. Hailey Dixon took the loss for the Eagles with the final score ending up 13-1.
鈥 鈥 鈥 鈥燭he Lady Eagles seemed to struggle at the plate all day. Wednesday?s second game ended up being a shut out. The Lady Eagles managed only three hits for the whole game.
Noah Griffin and Matthew Jordan receive Guistwhite Scholarships
91成人导航 was the only community college in the nation to have two students selected as鈥2014鈥燩hi Theta Kappa Guistwhite Scholarship recipients. Noah Griffin and Matthew Jordan, both of Pittsburg, were among the 20 students who received the honor this year.
They will be recognized and invited to a special reception during Phi Theta Kappa?s Annual Convention in Orlando, Florida, April 24-26.
