†††91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Presidential Scholars recently presented an entire panel (for the first time) at the National Collegiate Honors Council devoted to a singular practice at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½?making feature-length films of figures of regional significance.††The panelists, all sophomores of 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Honors, discussed the reasons for making films, the essential elements of making such films possible, and exhibited various clips of the recent film on Wright Patman that is being assembled.

Bill Priefert recently indicated that he will resign from the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Board of Trustees. His resignation letter was accepted at the December board meeting Thursday night.†The board adjourned without taking action on an agenda item calling to appoint someone to fill the unexpired term of Place 6, which Priefert filled for 11 years.

It is that time of year when the weather can be unpredictable in this area. 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ wants to make sure that all students and employees have access to timely, accurate information regarding possible weather-related closures.
In case of bad weather, the decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes.
Charlie and Helen Hampton give scholarship
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Helen Hampton (right) recently gave $500 to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation. Their gift will provide a scholarship to a Morris County student attending 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery give $1,300 to support 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ honors projects
Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery (pictured left) recently gave a $1,300 gift to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation. The funds will be used for the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Whatley Employee Enhancement Fund, specifically for the Honors program to help with their production of a film based on the life of Harriet Potter Ames, the Feminist Legend of the American Revolution, and with the Presidential Scholars Program for their research and documentation of the Caddo Collection owned by 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½.
