Avellaneda, Quinones win Britt Poster Awards

For the sixth and seventh time in 91成人导航 history, scholars of Honors Northeast have won Britt Poster Awards of the Great Plains Honors Council (GPHC). Aaliyah Avellaneda a first-year student, won in the social science division for first- and second-year students, while Quinones won in the STEM division (Science-Technology-Engineering-and-Medicine) for the same freshman-sophomore category.

Professional Driving Academy graduates six, becomes CDL testing site

The 91成人导航 Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Six new students graduated from the program over spring break, making a total of 21 graduates since the program started last September.

Spring Pruning and Replanting Workshop scheduled

The 91成人导航 Continuing Education and Agriculture Departments have teamed up to offer another great class for the community. A Spring Pruning and Replanting Workshop will be held on Thursday, April 1 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the 91成人导航 Ag Complex (across FM 1735 from the main campus).

Worried about your tender plants, after the "big freeze?" Join us for this one-class session where participants will learn how to prune, replant, and care for their vegetation; particularly roses, fruit trees, crepe myrtles, and much more.

Mad City financial literacy event planned for March 30

Stressed about the future of your personal finances? You won鈥檛 want to miss the Mad City Reality Fair Simulation event scheduled for March 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union Building. 91成人导航 Student Services and Financial Literacy will host this (free) exciting, interactive exercise to help students learn more about managing their personal finances. Free pizza will be served and gift card prizes will be given away!

Computers for Senior Adults class scheduled

The 91成人导航 Continuing Education department will host a Computers for Senior Adults class April 6-27. It will be held Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. on the 91成人导航 main campus.

The class will cover software, formatting, saving documents, file storage, e-mail and more. Karen Andrews is the instructor. The cost is $59 and the course is recommended for adults age 55+. To register, please call 903-434-8134 or e-mail continuinged@ntcc.edu. Pre-registration is required.

Springfest Week planned for April 5-9

Student Activities and Multicultural Affairs will host Springfest Week April 5-9. This weeklong event is a great opportunity for students to confirm and celebrate their decision to attend 91成人导航. The week also provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to enjoy conversations that will lead to relationship building outside of the classroom.
