The 91���˵��� Foundation recently received a $20,000 gift from the East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF). The funds were made available to the College by the ETCF through a planned gift from the estate of the late Burt and Nancy Marans, formerly of Pittsburg. This donation will contribute to the new Shelby Restoration Center that will soon be built on the 91���˵��� campus. This is 91���˵���’s 7th year to participate in East Texas Giving Day, a regional online giving/fundraising event. Our students and programs benefit greatly from donations made during this time because wonderful matching grant opportunities really stretch the power of every dollar given.

91���˵��� and Navarro College met up on the diamond at 91���˵��� on Saturday after rains early in the week forced some changes to the schedule. 91���˵��� would defeat Navarro 9-5 before falling 17-5 in game two.

Carter BloodCare will be on campus Tuesday, April 20 conducting a blood drive. Please help save a life by donating blood!

The blood drive bus will be located in the parking lot at the edge of the sidewalk by the Student Union Building from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

PTK Catalyst, Phi Theta Kappa’s international convention, was open as a virtual streaming event this year on April 8-10, including six general sessions, educational forums, and virtual booth explorations for career and college transfers.  Aside from amazing keynote speakers, such as those featured this year including, Platon, a world-recognized photographer, and Heather McGowan, Future of Work Strategist, chapters look forward to the Hallmark Awards, which recognize chapters, advisors, college leaders, and members throughout Phi Theta Kappa’

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91���˵��� will host a concert by The East Texas Men In Harmony (ETMIH) on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. Seating is limited due to social distancing protocols.

Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery recently presented the 91���˵��� Foundation with a check for $10,500. The gift provided $10,000 to establish the Russell-Mowery Perpetual Honors Scholarship and $500 for current honors scholarships. The Mowerys are pictured presenting the gift to Dr.
