Agriculture brings home honors from TJCAA Conference in Kingsville

Each spring, the Texas Junior College Agriculture Association (TJCAA) hosts one of the most anticipated events of the year for community college ag students across the state. This year’s conference and competition, held April 2–4 at Texas A&M University–Kingsville, was no exception—and 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ (91³ÉÈ˵¼º½) was proud to be well represented by an incredible group of students who brought their passion, knowledge, and teamwork to South Texas.

Under general supervision of the Director of Plant Services, the Maintenance/Repair employee is responsible for assistance in maintaining the college physical plant.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Works with various kind of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment common to the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades.

2. Repairs and maintains various types of existing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC installations.

The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation recently received a $25,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from an anonymous foundation. Thanks to an additional matching grant opportunity, the funds will be doubled for a $50,000 impact. Mardi Gras Sock Drive collects 233 pairs of socks for local seniors

As part of 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½â€™s Mardi Gras Madness celebration, the Office of Student Development hosted its first-ever Mardi Gras Sock Drive—and the campus community delivered in a big way.

Thanks to the generosity of students, staff, and campus organizations, 233 pairs of new socks were collected for Greenhill Villas of Mount Pleasant, a local care facility. Socks are one of the most requested yet often overlooked items in such facilities, and this donation will help bring much-needed comfort and warmth to residents.
