Cartwright Community Center board gives to scholarship

The Cartwright Community Center Board recently contributed $1,000 to the Ralph Whatley Agriculture Scholarship at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. GED orientations scheduled

The Adult Education Department at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ (91³ÉÈ˵¼º½) will offer free General Education Development (GED) classes at various locations beginning this month. All students must in enroll in an orientation session before beginning classes. See the orientation schedule/contact†information below:

Perrymans sponsor scholarship reception

Richard and Margaret Perryman recently presented a $3,000 check to Nita May (right), Director of Development, 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½.† The funds will be used to underwrite the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation Annual Scholarship Reception.† The reception is held on the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ campus each fall and allows scholarship recipients to meet the donors who made their award possible. In addition to helping 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ with scholarships themselves, the Perrymans have been underwriting the Scholarship Reception for more than 10 years.

Scare Affair slated for Oct. 24

It?s time to put on your best Halloween costume, dust off your trick-or-treat basket and head out to 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ for the 28th annual Scare Affair.

The event is from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 on the plaza of the main 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ campus (located on FM 1735 near Chapel Hill ISD). There will be free candy for all trick-or-treaters, low-cost games for all ages, a costume contest with cash prizes and much more!

Anyone interested in pursuing a career as a medical assistant or medical coder are invited to attend to learn about 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½'s training program. Medical assistants are versatile healthcare professionals who function in both administrative and patient care roles. The session will be from 6-7 p.m.

Drive for Kids fundraiser to benefit CIS

A fundraiser benefitting Communities In Schools (CIS) Northeast Texas will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at Pittsburg Primary School. The Drive For the Kids event, presented by Chrysler, will donate $10 to CIS for each person who test drives a vehicle between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Participants must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license. Dow Chrysler Jeep Dodge will be providing the test drive vehicles and will be on hand to answer questions. To learn more, contact Communities In Schools at 903-434-8212.
