Cypress Bank donates laptop to Honors Northeast

For the seventh year in a row, Cypress Bank has funded a high-end laptop for the use of 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ honors students. This year?s recipient, Gabriela Quezada, was an art student at the University of Maryland. She is a native of El Salvador.† Cypress, the oldest Camp-County based bank, has three other branches, in Mount Pleasant, Commerce and Lone Star.

91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ women break streak against tough Navarro team

The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ (91³ÉÈ˵¼º½) Women?s Eagles Soccer team split the week with a victory against Eastfield College and a narrow loss to †a top-ranked (number two) Navarro College team this past week.


McKenzia Goedicke kicked things off on Tuesday, scoring the first goal of the game on a penalty kick against Eastfield 36 minutes into the first half.

91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ men's soccer climbs the ranks to fifth in the nation

The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ (91³ÉÈ˵¼º½) Men?s Eagles Soccer team remains undefeated with a record of 6-0 after knocking off both Coastal Bend College and Laredo Community College this past week. The Eagles are ranked fifth overall in the nation according to this week's NJCAA National Poll.


Coastal Bend scored their first and only goal against the Eagles 26 minutes into Friday?s game. Rimario Gordon tied the score with an assist by Sergio Cavazos seven minutes later.

Kelli Knepp receives Chitsey Prize

Kelli Knepp, a sophomore honors scholar at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, was recently named the 2014 recipient of the $200 Chitsey Prize. This yearly prize is given in memory of Elizabeth Chitsey, whose daughters and grandchildren have had a far-reaching effect on Northeast Texas as educators and supporters of regional education on all levels.

The prize is unique in its efforts to identify a rising young scholar.

The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Evening Police Academy recently held a commencement ceremony. The graduates, who all passed their Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) exam and are now eligible to be licensed peace officers, are pictured above. 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ receives endowed scholarship in memory of Joe Don Mashburn

Joe Don Mashburn spent his entire life working in agriculture and a group of friends, family and colleagues are keeping his memory alive by sharing his passion with future generations of farmers and ranchers. Texas Heritage National Bank recently created a $25,000 endowed scholarship fund at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ to provide financial support for students in the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Work Scholarship Program.

Men's soccer remains undefeated, ranked 10th in the nation

The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ (91³ÉÈ˵¼º½) Men?s Eagles Soccer team†kept their†undefeated record intact after†knocking off both Eastern Oklahoma State College and Murray State College this†past†week. The team was named tenth in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in the September 2 poll.

Jake Winship put the first point on the board for the Eagles 20 minutes into the first half of Wednesday?s game against Eastern Oklahoma State.
