An 91���˵��� Funeral Service graduate was recently featured in the December issue of Texas Director, a trade publication for those in the funeral services industry. Steven D. Spruiells, of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, graduated from 91���˵��� in December 2022. The following is an excerpt from the article:

…As a student in the 91���˵��� Mortuary Program, he said he had been most surprised about how much he didn’t know about the profession, and what he has learned, is eager to help funeral service move forward in a way that will bring a positive light to the industry.

If you’ve been wondering about the big trash receptacles in front of the old Physical Fitness Annex (PFA) this week or all the digging around it last fall, wonder no more. The digging was to repair an issue with water in the building and the trash receptacles were for cleaning out old items being stored in the building. This work is in preparation to repurpose the PFA building into a new Health Simulation Center!  

Expect to see more workers, construction trucks/equipment, etc. at the site in the coming months as we remodel the building.

For their performance in the fall of 2022 in challenging honors seminars at 91���˵��� in relation to their peers, two Presidential Scholars will win $100 checks.  Sophomore Skylar Fondren, president of the honors student council, obtained the highest combined grade in the Humusic Seminar.  Neida Perez, a recently promoted phenomenon of the BioTex Seminar, scored the highest among first-year scholars.  

Alpha Mu Chi, the 91���˵��� chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, has released a documentary video about dance as an international art form. The video, entitled “Rhythm of the Soul: Just Dance 5,” is available to view online by . 

91���˵��� 91���˵���, Faculty and Staff can attend Eagles games for FREE…but you have to download your digital pass! Here is the reminder of how to access the pass if you have not already done so this school year. If you downloaded the app/pass for the fall it is also good for the spring.

91���˵��� Athletics is moving to digital tickets for the upcoming 2022-2023 sports seasons. In an effort to help our fan experience, Eagle Athletics is now working with Hometown Tickets to provide online ticket sales.

We are back in action this spring. Here is our weekly installment of meet the Coaches. This week we spotlight, 91���˵��� Softball Head Coach, Joshua Freeman.

Coach Freeman is in his third season as the Leader of the Eagle Softball program. Coach Josh came to 91���˵��� from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. Christopher Newport University is a NCAA Division III program where he served as Assistant head coach.

91���˵��� is currently enrolling for its upcoming Professional Driving Academy (CDL training). New classes begin monthly. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in training for a lucrative new career in just one month.

91���˵��� welcomes Artist Marsha Brown as the exhibiting artist for February.  Her artwork will be on display in the Whatley Center foyer from Friday, February 3rd  through Wednesday, February 22nd.  A reception will be held on Wednesday, February 8th, at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.

The 91���˵��� Music Department recently launched a new YouTube series called "". The project was developed by Dr. Andrew Daniel, Associate Professor of Music.
