Choctaw History and Culture event planned

Mark your calendars for a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Choctaw history and culture from tribal member Ryan Spring and Tribal Archaeologist Dr. Kim Hinson. The event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15th from 12:30-1:30 in Humanities 101. A taste of Tanchi Labona, a traditional Choctaw dish, will be provided as well. Question and answer session after presentation. Faculty, staff, students, and members of the community are welcome!

Hot Club of Cowtown comes to the Whatley Center

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 91成人导航 will host a performance by on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m.

鈥淲hen I first heard Hot Club of Cowtown I just knew we had to host them at the Whatley,鈥 Carolyn Franks, Director of the Whatley Center, said. 鈥淭hey are fantastically talented musicians and they blend a variety of genres to create something completely fun and unique.鈥

The 91成人导航 CARE team, along with Student Success, will be presenting at the 10th Annual First Gen Summit, MIT, Boston, MA , on November 5th.  The First Gen Summit serves as a site for the meeting of the minds. First-gen students and their allies come together to identify problems, discuss grassroots solutions, and share what鈥檚 working on their campuses. The focus is on finding solutions identified by students who can work with their staff, administrator, and faculty allies to create change.

91成人导航 student, Ian Griffin, holds book signing

91成人导航 student, Ian Griffin, held a signing for his debut novel Birth of A Spy Couple on Thursday, Oct. 20 in the Student Union Building. Griffin served in the United States Army for 31 years. During this time, he lived in Germany for nine years. Living in Germany gave him a unique perspective of Germany and its culture. He has incorporated his experiences and observations into spinning a yarn that encompasses the characters of Rick and Katja.

MPEDC gives $25,000 for truck driving scholarships

The Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation (MPEDC) recently presented 91成人导航 with a check for $25,000. This is a repeated initiative between MPEDC and 91成人导航. The funds, like before, are being used to provide scholarships to assist residents of Mount Pleasant and Titus County with tuition for 91成人导航鈥檚 Professional Driving Academy.
