Megan Folk, a student from 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, has been named a 2021 Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) StudyBuddy Scholar and has received a 100 percent discount on either the TEAS or HESI prep courses at .
Davin Whatley, a student at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ in Texas, has been named the 2021 Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholar and will receive a $1,500 scholarship.
The Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholarship is presented to the Texas applicant with the highest score from Phi Theta Kappa’s spring scholarship application, which helps new Phi Theta Kappa members defray educational expenses while enrolled in associate degree programs.

Christi Denney recently presented the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Foundation with $2,000 to support the Nita DeWoody Memorial Scholarship fund. The money was raised through a 5K virtual event that was held last year due to COVID-19.
Texas A&M University Texarkana at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ will host a Coffee Chat with our very own Kevin Frost on Friday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. Frost is a graduate of Texas A&M University – Texarkana at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 2010 and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2014. Mr. Frost currently works for 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ (91³ÉÈ˵¼º½) where he serves as the professor of Industrial Technology. Join us to learn more about his transfer experience!

On Wednesday, July 28, Ideal Impact will begin working on the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ campus. Ideal Impact is a consulting firm that works with schools and churches to maximize energy efficiency and save a significant amount of money for the institution over time. The project will include implementing new HVAC software, weatherization and other upgrades to improve efficiency at the college.

Joel Berg, CEO of Hunger Free America, a national nonpartisan nonprofit organization, visited the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ campus Wednesday. The visit was part of a coast-to-coast journey this summer to shine a light on the continuing national hunger crisis, to meet with those working on the front lines of hunger, and to advocate for long-term, public policy solutions to food insecurity. In addition to visiting the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ CARE Center (formerly Eagle Pantry), Berg also visited sites in Mount Pleasant and Daingerfield.
91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ is pleased to announce that the Health Science Admin Team (Renee Tomlin, Nicole Walker and Bree McAdams) has been nominated for this week’s Summer Shout Out. In addition to their usual workloads, these ladies stepped up during the COVID-19 crisis to work on the front lines to help safely bring students and employees back to campus.
