Annual NIRA Rodeo planned
91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ will host its annual National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) rodeo October 19-20 at Elite Western Arena. The college rodeo action will begin at 7:30 Friday night and at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
College to host annual Scare Affair Oct. 20
It’s time to put on your best Halloween costume, dust off your trick-or-treat basket and head out to 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ for the 31st annual Scare Affair.
The event is from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20th on the plaza of the main 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ campus (located on FM 1735 near Chapel Hill ISD). There will be free candy for all trick-or-treaters, low-cost games for all ages, a costume contest with cash prizes and much more!
91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ seeks community feedback for strategic plan
91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ is seeking community feedback as they plan for the next five years. The public is invited to participate by completing the strategic planning survey at  by October 15. Results of this survey will be used directly to help shape the planning process.
Earlier this summer, a strategic plan steering committee, made up of faculty, staff, students and community members was established to begin working on the strategic plan.
Look for 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ booths at the Titus County Fair
Going to the Titus County Fair this weekend? Make sure to stop by to visit the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Nursing booth in the Civic Center and the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Ag trailer by the ag barn. A&M-Texarkana at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ is also set up in the Civic Center!
Men's soccer dominates #10 Western Texas College
The men's soccer team took on #10 Western Texas after having to cancel the game on Saturday against Hill College due to the rain. Due to the field conditions the game started off slow for both teams. In the 27thminute (assist by ) was able to break the tie in the game and give the Eagles the early lead.
Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 to 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ automotive program
The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave $25,000 to support scholarships for students enrolled in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. Dr. Jonathan McCullough (left), 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Executive Vice President for Advancement, is pictured receiving the gift from Aaron Shelby, grandson of Carroll Shelby and Co-President of The Carroll Shelby Foundation. Carroll Shelby began supporting the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ automotive program in 2007. Since his death, the Carroll Shelby Foundation has carried on his legacy through annual contributions.
